Porsche responds to market needs with key north Queensland appointmentPorsche appoints dealer in Cairns
Australia. Porsche Cars Australia has appointed a dealer in Cairns to meet the requirements of its growing customer base in north Queensland.
Porsche Centre Cairns – which became an authorised Porsche Centre on October 01 – will take full responsibility for Service and Sales of Porsche cars in the booming top end.
Porsche Centre Cairns immediately began operations as an authorised Service Centre, with Sales of New and Approved Used Porsche cars beginning mid 2008 when a new and dedicated Porsche facility is opened.
“This is exciting news,” said Porsche Centre Cairns Dealer Principal, Scott Carse. “We are making a significant commitment to establish a world-class Porsche Centre that will allow us to provide complete Porsche customer service, from New and Approved Used Sales to aftersales service.”
Until the new facility is complete, Porsche Centre Cairns will provide vehicle Servicing from its existing premises at 303-309 Mulgrave Road, Cairns. A dedicated Porsche Master Technician will also provide servicing for Porsche customers further south in Townsville.
Porsche Cars Australia Managing Director, Michael Winkler, is delighted with the appointment: “Honeycombes Automotive Group has a proven record with premium brands, and with Scott Carse as dealer principal we have someone with a proven Porsche background that understands, and can meet, the high expectations of our customers.”
Porsche research data shows there are more than 100 existing Porsche owners in the greater areas of Cairns and Townsville.
