Grand Opening of Porsche Centre Huzhou Optimising Chinese Market and Refining Porducts

Shanghai/Huzhou. 22nd October, 2018, Porsche Centre Huzhou celebrated its grand opening today, becoming the first Porsche Centre to open in Huzhou. Located at No. 99, Xifeng Road, the new Porsche Centre Huzhou will provide customers with better access to Porsche products and high-quality services while increasing Porsche‘s growing presence in the China market.

Joining the opening ceremony of the new centre was Daniel Schmollinger, Vice President Network Management and Development of Porsche China, who expressed sincere welcome and heartfelt thanks to dealers, media and customers for their ongoing support of Porsche over the years. Mr. Schmollinger emphasized that China has been continuously Porsche’s largest individual market, which means Porsche needs to place great importance on this market. Porsche has consistently strived to provide excellent products and services for every customer as it pursues the spirit of excellence in every aspect.

Built in strict accordance to Porsche's global standards,Porsche Centre Huzhou aimed at providing customers with the ultimate service experience. Affiliated with PAIG (China), the new centre covers an area of 8,348 square meters, and can showcase up to 11 cars in its exhibition hall. The exhibition hall is also equipped with a large outdoor TV wall, displaying the latest and most cutting-edge Porsche products and technology. A powerful vehicle customization area is designed to meet the various needs of customers, offering personalized services to create their customized dream car. An independent delivery area allows each customer to enjoy a unique experience when receiving their new car. A display area featuring a motorsport culture and history wall allows customers an in-depth understanding of Porsche culture.

Huzhou is an ancient city in the south of the Yangtze River with a deep history. Porsche has always paid great attention to Huzhou due to its rich history and ideal market conditions. The opening of Porsche Centre Huzhou is an important step for Porsche’s penetration of the Chinese market. Adhering to Porsche’s customer-centric concept, the new centre will provide local customers with high-quality products and services, spreading Porsche's spirit of pursuing excellence and continuous achievements.

Positive development over the course of the year: Porsche AG increased its vehicle deliveries by 6% to 196,562 vehicles in the first nine months of 2018. Growth in China, the largest single market for Porsche, was also 4% with 56,254 vehicles delivered. Celebrating its world premiere in Shanghai on July 25th, the new Macan solidifies its exceptional status as a sports car in the compact SUV segment, staying true to Porsche’s sports car DNA with outstanding dynamics and striking design. On August 31st, Porsche displayed a full range of all its model lines at the 21st Chengdu Motor Show, including the special 15-Year Anniversary Porsche Carrera Cup Asia Edition of the 911 Carrera and the new Macan. The anniversary edition is based on the 911 Carrera model, delivering the ultimate sports car performance while emphasizing the motorsport spirit with highly bespoke design elements. With increasing demand for product experiences and services from Chinese consumers, Porsche China will continue to improve and innovate, making every effort to promote and enhance its overall customer satisfaction.
