Porsche (China) Motors Limited to recall part of imported Panamera and Taycan vehicles
Commencing from 05 July 2021, Porsche (China) Motors Limited will recall part of the imported 2021 Panamera and Taycan vehicles manufactured from 02 February 2021 to 11 May 2021. The recall was filed by Porsche China to the State Administration for Market Regulation in accordance with the Defective Automobile Products Recall Regulation and its implementation measures. The recall will affect a total of 1571 vehicles.
On affected vehicles, a lower control arm that does not meet the required specifications may have been installed on the right side of the front axle. As a result, there is a possibility that the lower control arm can break. If this happens, we cannot rule out the possibility of impaired vehicle handling and possible loss of control of the vehicle, which poses a safety hazard.
Porsche China will commission all authorised service centres nationwide to replace the affected control arm for the recalled vehicles free of charge for any consequential damage.
Emergency measurement: If the chassis is found to have abnormal noise or jitter during driving, the user should park the vehicle safely and immediately contact the nearest authorised service centre. Upon the recall takingeffect, the user should contact the nearest authorised servicecentre to replace the affected control arm free of charge.
Porsche China will notify the relevant owners via registered mail, phone call, text message, etc. Affected users are encouraged to visit Porsche China's official website https://www.porsche.com/china/en/ or call the toll-free customer service centre hotline on 400 820 5911 or Porsche authorised dealers to find out more information about this recall. Users can also visit the website of the Defective Product Administrative Centre of the State Administration for Market Regulation (dpac.samr.gov.cn, www.recall.org.cn), or its WeChat account (SAMRDPAC) for more information. In addition, users can also call the hotline of the Defective Product Administrative Centre of the State Administration for Market Regulation at 010-59799616 to reflect the problems in the implementation of the recall or submit defect clues.
