Porsche China awarded as a Top Employer for the third consecutive yearOngoing vitality of Porsche China’s dedication to employees
· Having been certified as a Top Employer 2022, Porsche China has received prestigious recognition in human resources management for the third year in a row.

Shanghai. On 20 January, the Top Employers 2022 in China were announced by the Top Employers Institute, a global authority on recognising excellence in people practices. This is the third time that Porsche China has been officially certified as a Top Employer for its excellent human resources policies, efficient management practices and diverse corporate culture.
“Talent is an invaluable asset for enterprise. At Porsche China, we have always attached great importance to talent development and corporate management,” according to Dr. -Ing. Jens Puttfarcken, President and CEO of Porsche China. “Over the past 20 years, Porsche China's success is closely bound up with the dedication and contributions of all employees. In the future, we will continue to provide a better professional environment and a harmonious atmosphere, to stimulate people’s potential, cultivate talents’ skills, and together write the next 20-year story.”
Founded more than 30 years ago, the Top Employers Institute accredits organisations based on the participation and results of their independent survey. It covers six HR domains consisting of 20 topics including People Strategy, Work Environment, Talent Acquisition, Learning, Well-being and Diversity & Inclusion and more. Top Employers Institute CEO David Plink says: “Reflecting on the demanding year that has, like the year before it, impacted organisations across the world, Porsche China has continued to show that it prioritises maintaining excellent people practices in the workplace. They consistantly meet the challenges of the changing world of work while working tirelessly to make a positive impact on the lives of their workforce. We are pleased to celebrate and applaud Porsche China being certified as Top Employers this year.”
Talent cultivation as a top priority
As Porsche China has grown steadily since its entry into the Chinese mainland in 2001, the number of employees has been increasing over the past 20 years, reaching over 500 people. In 2021, the Individual Development Plan (IDP) was rolled out for emplyees to enhance the awareness of ‘You Drive Your Own Career Path’ and help them build solid career prospects. This is one of the most important functions of Porsche China’s human resource strategy which reflects the improvement of the talent cultivation mechanism and reinforces the achievements of current talent management.
People are the real engine
To further refine its corporate values, Porsche China has launched the Porsche Code to inspire the practices that truly reflect Porsche values, culture and behaviour, to implement the spirit of ‘People Are the Real Engine’ across four dimensions: Herzblut, Sportlichkeit, Pioniergeist, One Family. In addition, sustainability remains an integral part of Porsche's corporate development strategy. In October 2021, Porsche China led its employees to participate in the Porsche Virtual Run in Shanghai, joining Porsche colleagues around the world to raise funds for seriously ill children, in order to implement its future-oriented sustainability strategy and fulfil its social responsibility. The event is a strong embodiment of Porsche's advanced corporate culture as well as a demonstration of the social commitment required of a top employer.
After the milestone year of 2021, Porsche China is embarking on a new journey with all its employees in China. With the spirit of ‘People Are the Real Engine’ and commitment to becoming the most attractive employer, Porsche China will never cease in these efforts and will continue to take responsibility for providing a broad career path, while dedicating our passion to shaping a brighter future for both the company and the employees.
