Model System output Overboost Power with Launch Control 0-100km Top speed More spacious driving prowess thanks to the latest chassis technology. All four models feature a high-tech chassis with four-wheel drive and adaptive air suspension as standard. In 'Normal' driving mode, its ground clearance can be increased by up to 30 mm compared to the Taycan sedan, giving the Cross Turismo excellent handling both on- and off-road. The standard “Gravel” mode is designed for light off-road terrain such as gravel and muddy roads to ensure power delivery and precise driving control, enhancing the Taycan Cross Turismo's ability to adapt to uneven surfaces. With the 800 V electric drive system inherited from its family, pow-erful performance is readily available at the driver’s fingertips. As a result, the Taycan Cross Turismo can be at ease while dealing with a wider range of driving conditions.
A more spacious interior experience encompasses seating and storage. Compared to the Taycan sedan, the Cross Turismo offers 47 mm more headroom for rear passengers, and with the fixed panoramic glass roof as standard in China, the enhanced feeling of space and airi-ness makes for a more comfortable ride. The luggage compartment has been increased to 1,212 litres, with a large tailgate for easy access to luggage and storage components such as dividers, bag hooks and restraining straps to ensure that luggage is well organised for different travel needs.
In addition, the Taycan Cross Turismo has inherited Porsche's reliable range calculation logic, which reduces journey anxiety by up to 523 km of range (CLTC). The displayed range value is therefore "what you see is what you get": the value takes into account a number of factors that influence energy consumption, including driving style, road conditions, outside temperature and the use of auxiliary equipment, making the range estimate more realistic and reliable. Over time, the Taycan Cross Turismo's displayed range value will become more accurate as it adapts to the owner's driving habits.
In terms of design, the Taycan Cross Turismo closely follows the much-anticipated styling of the Mission E Cross Turismo concept car. Off-road styling is evident, including wheel arch trims, distinctive front and rear lower aprons and side sills. As part of the Off-Road Design package, the front and rear bumpers are fitted with special flaps at the corners and at the ends of the door sills to protect against stone impacts. When fitted with the Off-Road Design pack-age, a compass is added to the top of the dashboard, with a rotating compass dial simulating the direction of the front end and providing altitude and time information on a digital display, giving the interior a clean, high-tech feel.
The Taycan Cross Turismo is the first Porsche to be carbon neutral throughout its entire lifecycle, as a key milestone of Porsche purchasing a CO2-neutral balance sheet throughout the entire value chain by 2030.
Model year 2022 upgrade for Taycan: panoramic sunroof with Sunshine Control
The 2022 Taycan range gets a upgrade full of high-tech sense – the panoramic sunroof with Sunshine Control, which is also available on the newly launched Taycan Cross Tursimo and Taycan GTS models.
The entire sunroof is divided into nine individually controllable zones, the status of which can be switched at the click of a finger: “Clear", "Matt", "Semi" and "Bold". The roof even has a dynamic Roller Blind setting, which activates a switching sequence in the individual segments when the Taycan driver slides the finger over an image of the roof on the display.
The innovative panoramic roof features a multi-layered structure that effectively shields the interior from heat radiation even when transparent, preventing glare while significantly improv-ing light and heat insulation. Sunlight simulations carried out by Porsche‘s Weissach Devel-opment Centre show that only 15 percent of heat enters the interior of the car through the new panoramic roof, compared to more than 30 percent in a conventional roof.
Porsche's charging network continues to expand: a worry-free charging experience throughout the journey
Based on the lifestyles and travel habits of Porsche owners, Porsche is further improving its charging network in China to ensure a worry-free journey.
· Home charging: Customers who have successfully purchased a Taycan will be provided with one set of home charging hardware as well as a basic installation service for free, in an effort to realise the goal of "ready-to-use" charging. A success rate of 93.5% has been achieved among the customers who have already started the home charging installation, covering not only first and second tier cities, but also areas such as Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture in Sichuan, Honghe Hani Autonomous Prefecture in Yunnan and Qianxinan Buyi Miao Autonomous Prefecture in Guizhou.
· “Porsche Public Charging” network: As of mid-April 2022, 119 Porsche Centres in 77 cities are equipped with 800 V Turbo charging; 103 Porsche Public Charging stations have been set up in hotspots in 20 cities across China, including Turbo charging and 400 V super charging. Five new cities - Xiamen, Kunming, Fuzhou, Shenyang and Hefei - will also be covered this year.
· For the “Destination Charging” cooperation with selected premium hotels, Taycan owners can enjoy the charging service for free. By mid-April 2022, more than 135 Destination Charging stations have been built nationwide.
· By the end of March 2022, Porsche has integrated more than 410,000 third-party chargers in more than 200 cities across the country.
