Shanghai. From 18 to 27 April, Porsche is featuring a host of new vehicles as part of its big-gest ever line-up at the 20th Shanghai International Automobile Industry Exhibition. Celebrat-ing the brand’s 75th anniversary this year, the Porsche booth features a total of 13 models with four major highlight areas, showcasing Porsche’s brand heritage and its unique understanding of technology, lifestyle and the future. Highlights include the new Cayenne, featuring the most extensive product upgrades in the history of Porsche; the Porsche Vision 357, paying homage to the legendary 356 "No.1" Roadster on its 75th birthday; and the new 911 Dakar, illustrating Porsche’s relentless pursuit of the ultimate driving experience. The Taycan and Taycan Cross Turismo are also presented together, showcasing the pure driving experience and lifestyle of Porsche’s all-electric sports cars.

The world premiere of the new Cayenne:A pioneer in its market segment

As a pioneer defining the large sporty SUV segment by Porsche, the Cayenne has been con-sistently enhanced since its launch. Today, the new Cayenne – which has been upgraded based on its third generation – celebrated its world premiere at Auto Shanghai. With a more driver-focused cockpit design, new chassis technology, innovative lighting technology, and more powerful engine range, the new Cayenne emphasises its claim to be the sportiest car in its segment. The new Cayenne is presented with five variants, which cover two body types – SUV and Coupé, as well as three engine versions including Cayenne, Cayenne E-Hybrid, and Cayenne Turbo GT.

Porsche Vision 357: a tribute to history and connection to the future

75 years of Porsche stands for 75 years of pioneering spirit, passion and dreams. One of the stars of the show, the Porsche Vision 357, pays homage to the legendary 356 "No.1" Roadster. This design study is an attempt to combine the past, present and future. The round headlamps and the windscreen which sharply wraps around the black A-pillars, are classic elements of past 356 models. While this time the round headlamps feature a four-point light signet in front and are fully integrated into the body. There is also a greater emphasis on low wind resistance in its classic shape, incorporating modern and futuristic design elements. In terms of power, the car is based on the 718 Cayman GT4 RS and, with the naturally aspirated six-cylinder boxer engine, theoretically draws 368 kW (500 PS) from four litres of displacement, and is de-signed for operation with eFuels.

In addition to unveiling the 357, Porsche is embarking on its anniversary year at the Auto Shanghai, with interpretations of the brand’s history, present and future running throughout the year and across the country. These will include special experiences for Porsche enthusiasts of all ages, Porsche Club members, the auto community and customers.

Porsche customisation, an expression of individualism

In the past, luxury often made people feel prescribed. Today, however, it is defined by the cus-tomers, who perceive themselves as a ‘personal brand’ with unique expressions. Porsche has long strived to resonate with customers through new models and more customisation options. The 'Driven by Dreams' themed area showcases a selection of two-door sports cars: the 911 Dakar, 911 Targa 4 and the customised Porsche 718 Boxster GTS, all of which are prime ex-amples of the full expression of individuality. The new 911 Dakar comes with two exclusive looks – the Shade Green Metallic and the Rallye Design Package. The Dakar is the wildest 911 road car of the 21st century, with its unique off-road style integrating racetrack, street and off-road scenarios, expanding the driving boundaries of the 911 family. With the Porsche Ex-clusive Manufaktur, customers can customise their dream car by selecting a personalised con-figuration based entirely on their desire for self-expression, and the self-expression of modern luxury.

Leading the future of electrification

The Taycan is the first all-electric Porsche model series that not only unveiled a new world of fully electric sports cars, but also offers the ultimate driving experience. The Taycan Cross Turismo also on show at the booth, which accommodates a diverse range of driving scenarios, allowing the Taycan family to offer an even more expanded driving experience. For example, the Taycan Cross Turismo features a high-tech chassis with four-wheel drive and adaptive air suspension as standard, the new chassis expands its driving scenarios to encompass on-road, track and off-road. The exterior, including the wheel arch trims and lower aprons have been specially designed for off-road scenarios, protecting against stone impacts. In addition, the Cross Turismo comes with more headroom in the rear and a larger luggage compartment for extra comfort and convenience on long journeys and significantly improved everyday practical-ity. The Taycan Cross Turismo affords even more possibilities for drivers to enjoy an active lifestyle.
