Yongkang/Shanghai. On 22 May 2024, Yongkang in east China’s Zhejiang Province welcomed its first Porsche Centre – adhering to Porsche's new retail concept “Destination Porsche” – with a grand opening ceremony. Located at No. 880, Jindu Road, Porsche Centre Yongkang not only provides convenience for owners and enthusiasts in Yongkang and the surrounding areas by offering the full range of Porsche sports cars, but also demonstrates the importance Porsche attaches to the central market. On the opening day, Ms. Grace Xi, Director Region Central of Porsche China; Ms. Papaya Chan, President of Baolide Automobile Operations Management; and Mr. Martin Luo, General Manager of Porsche Centre Yongkang were onsite along with many other guests and members of the media to witness this memorable moment.

Porsche Centre Yongkang covers a floor area of 7,980 square meters and boasts a team of experienced professionals who are dedicated to providing comprehensive consultation and globally renowned, exceptional service to every customer. The modern showroom can display 11 Porsche sports cars at the same time. The after sales service area has 10 work bays and one direct dialogue bay, and comes fully equipped with Porsche’s global standard testing instruments and maintenance equipment. Additionally, the “Destination Porsche” theme features special areas such as a reading zone, racing space, and kids land, creating an immersive brand experience for Porsche owners, enthusiasts, and fans.

Yongkang is a county-level city in the central part of Zhejiang Province, administered by Jinhua City. Historically known as Lizhou, it is recognised as the “Capital of Hardware” and the “Hometown of Hardware Craftsmen” in China. Yongkang City is one of the second batch of pilot areas for the high-quality development and construction of a demonstration zone for common prosperity in Zhejiang. With the development of its economy and society, there has been a growing demand for sports cars among the people here, which has laid the foundations for the establishment of Yongkang's first Porsche Centre.

On the opening day, Ms. Grace Xi, Director Region Central of Porsche China, expressed her heartfelt appreciation to the investor, “The successful completion of Porsche Centre Yongkang would not have been possible without the dedication and hard work of our investor, Baolide Group. As a long-term partner of Porsche, Baolide Group has extensive experience in business operation and management, and has always stood shoulder-to-shoulder with us.” Ms. Papaya Chan, President of Baolide Automobile Operations Management, added, “We are full of confidence in the value-oriented, healthy and sustainable development of Porsche in China. In the future, we will continue to work closely with Porsche China to bring customers a richer brand culture and service experience.”

Since entering the Chinese mainland in 2001, Porsche has been committed to bringing the sports car experience and innovative spirit advocated by the brand to every Chinese customer who desires challenge and pursues perfection. This year, Porsche is carrying out product upgrades on four of its six vehicle lines, which means that more new models will be launched in one year than in any previous year. Porsche will continue to be committed to its value-driven objectives through a renewed product portfolio, highly customised options and special models, to meet the expectations of Chinese consumers for the ultimate sports car, and to promote the development of sports car culture in China.
