Warranty Service

Porsche offers vehicle warranty and SanBao services with below terms:

Warranty Coverage and SanBao Period

All vehicles purchased after 1 September 2013 will be granted with 2-year/50,000km SanBao coverage (whichever occurs as first).

Vehicle Free Repair Period

Porsche AG grants a 2-year New Vehicle Warranty, except for the cases listed below. Differing New Vehicle Warranty periods:

• Porsche Japan/Porsche Australia/Porsche Great Britain/Vietnam: 3-year New Vehicle Warranty
• Porsche China: 3-year/100,000km New Vehicle Warranty
• Porsche North America: 4-year/50,000 miles New Vehicle Warranty
• Porsche Canada: 4-year/81,000km New Vehicle Warranty

Exception：918 Spyder 4 years new car warranty

Paintwork and Long-term Warranty

In addition to the Porsche New Vehicle Warranty, Porsche AG also grants a world-wide paintwork warranty and long-term warranty (start of warranty is the same as the New Vehicle Warranty).

• 3 years painting warranty
• 10 years anti-corrosion warranty (before A model vehicles)
• 12 years anti-corrosion warranty (starts from B model vehicles)

Exception：918 Spyder 4 years paintwork warranty

Spare Parts Warranty

Porsche offers a 2-year warranty for original Genuine Porsche spare parts. In case of complaints about new or spare parts, the date of sale shall be deemed the delivery date of the installed part. The warranty period starts from the invoice date.

Wear & Tear Warranty

Vehicle components subject to ageing and/or natural wear and tear are generally excluded from warranty coverage. Damages of those components which are not caused by wear and tear, can be claimed via new vehicle warranty. You can get in touch with your local Porsche Centre or refer to SanBao Certificate for the detailed component information.

Porsche High Voltage Battery Warranty

• before MY2019 of Cayenne & Panamera E-Hybrid: 6 years/120,000km, whichever comes first
• with MY2019 of Cayenne & Panamera E-Hybrid and for subsequent vehicles: 8 years/160,000km, whichever comes first

Exception：Porsche North America、Porsche Canada、Puerto Rico

• before MY2019 of Cayenne & Panamera E-Hybrid: 7 years/70,000 miles, whichever comes first
• with MY2019 of Cayenne & Panamera E-Hybrid and for subsequent vehicles: 8 years/130,000km, whichever comes first

Battery SoH (Status of Health) (Porsche China PHEV & BEV)

In the event of excessive wear as described in below scenarios, the defect will be remedied for the customer free of charge, thus still being deemed within the Warranty.

• new vehicle, 100%
• 2 year/50,000km (whichever comes first), 60% (vehicle delivery date is from 1 January 2022 – PHEV)
• 3 year/160,000km (whichever comes first), 50% (vehicle delivery date is from 1 January 2022 – PHEV)
• 3 year/60,000km (whichever comes first), 80% (vehicle delivery date is before 1 January 2022 – Taycan)
• 8 year/160,000km (whichever comes first), 70% (vehicle delivery date is before 1 January 2022 – Taycan)
• 2 year/50,000km (whichever comes first), 81% (vehicle delivery date is from 1 January 2022 – Taycan)
• 3 year/100,000km (whichever comes first), 76% (vehicle delivery date is from 1 January 2022 – Taycan)

E-motor and electronics

• 8 years/120,000km (with MY2019 of Cayenne & Panamera E-Hybrid and for subsequent vehicles, Taycan)

Warranty exclusions

1. Normal wear and tear is not covered by the warranty.

2. Furthermore, warranty obligations shall not exist if defects occur as a result of:

a) the vehicle has been improperly treated (e.g. through engine over-rev) or overstressed due to overloading.
b) improper repair, maintenance or service previously performed on the vehicle by the Warrantee on his / her own or by a third party who is not an authorised Porsche Dealer, or
c) the installation in the vehicle of parts, the use of which has not been approved by Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG, or the modification (e.g. tuning) of the vehicle in a way that has not been approved by Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG, or
d) the Warrantee’s having failed to follow the guidelines on operation, treatment and care of the vehicle (e.g. Driver’s Manual), or
e) damage to the vehicle by external effects or outside influences (e.g. accident, hail, flooding), or
f) the Warrantee’s failure to report the defect immediately or the Warrantee’s failure to provide an opportunity for rectification without delay despite having been requested to do so.
