Porsche CEO awarded “Excellence in Leadership” prizeTop-class jury chooses Dr. Wendelin Wiedeking fifth time in succession

Stuttgart/Wiesbaden. Dr. Wendelin Wiedeking, CEO of Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG, Stuttgart, has been awarded the “Excellence in Leadership” prize by the Heinz Goldmann Foundation for International Communication, Geneva, for the fifth time in succession. The jury consisted of 68 CEOs from around the globe. The Porsche CEO accepted the prize on the occasion of the “Managing Change – Leadership in Times of Economic Turbulence” Congress in Wiesbaden. Wiedeking: “I dedicate this award to all Porsche employees, as the basis of our success is predominantly excellent teamwork.”

In his speech, Heinz Goldmann acknowledged the entrepreneurial achievement of Wiedeking, on the basis of which the sports car manufacturer from Stuttgart once again achieved new record figures in the 2002/2003 financial year, despite difficult general economic conditions. At the same time, the sports car manufacturer had been well prepared to meet future challenges, through Wiedeking’s farsighted management.

Alongside the Porsche CEO, Dr Jürgen Hamprecht, CEO of BASF AG, was awarded the same prize.
