The “living Porsche workshop” provides a glimpse behind the scenesPorsche hosts own stand at “Techno Classica” in Essen

Stuttgart. The “Customer Center – Classic” department of Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG will again be on hand at the "Techno Classica" in Essen (April 6 to 9, 2006). The Porsche Original Plant Restoration, Porsche Classic Original Parts as well as the "Porsche Design Driver’s Selection" direct sales departments will be taking advantage of the opportunities at the classic cars fair to present their product and service range to specialists from around the world.

In addition to having direct contact with classic car enthusiasts, at the Porsche stand in Hall 3 detailed advice will be available from Porsche's own restoration specialists. The experts will be happy to answer questions on availability and procurement of spare parts for classic Porsche models, as well as any questions on restoration or guarantees for historic vehicles.

Using the body of a Porsche 911 Targa (1970 version) on a frame straightening unit, “Customer Centre – Classic” department will be demonstrating the quality and standards of its own workshop. Another exhibition vehicle on the stand is the Porsche 356 A 1500 Speedster. This car’s restoration is nearly completed. The Porsche saddlery is represented at the stand, too. The "living workshop" at the fair will also give spectators a chance to take a look behind the scenes of Porsche Original Plant Restoration. Specialists will be demonstrating individual stages of development in the engine and transmission production as well as the electronics and vehicle maintenance divisions.

For Porsche lovers who enjoy working on their vehicles themselves, there is a large range of literature up for sale, from owners' manuals through parts catalogs and CDs to repair instructions.
