How the best photographers, videographers and digital artists represented their passion for Porsche in 2024 on social media
From breathtaking photography to innovative CGI artwork to spontaneous moments shared by fans, car enthusiasts and artists from around the world capture the spirit of Porsche in stunning and unique ways every single day. As 2024 draws to a close, we look back on some of the year’s most memorable moments using the #PorscheMoment hashtag – creations that highlight the diversity and endless creativity of the Porsche community.Head in the Stars • by Thiago Tallmann “I started with a long research of references and inspirations from the universe, specifically looking at Martian terrain,” explains Thiago Tallmann, the digital artist behind this otherworldly Porsche 718 GT4. “Using CGI tools, I created a scene that combined the sleek design of the Porsche with the rugged beauty of a Mars-like environment. I did a lot of testing to get the scale, lighting, colour and composition just right. This artwork is part of a larger series exploring how Porsche vehicles might exist in an imaginary universe. “As a child, I grew up playing with Hot Wheels and drawing as many cars as I could. Today, my professional career revolves around digital artwork, often featuring Porsche cars. The brand’s support of artists around the world is what I love most about Porsche.” Dreaming of Turbo cars • by Tomasz Sarna “In my photography, I aim to capture the essence of places, moments and landscapes, as well as the aesthetics that accompany them,” says Polish photographer Tomasz Sarna. “I picked up this press 911 Turbo S Cabriolet from my hometown of Warsaw to take it on a photo journey to the Polish Tatra Mountains. I spent the entire weekend there, covering over 1,500km. When I came across this flock of sheep, the shepherd called out to me, asking if I’d like them to pose for me. How could I say no? “I try to travel as much as possible. This year alone, I’ve already driven 10,000km through Poland, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Austria and the Czech Republic. I absolutely love the sense of freedom that Porsche cars offer. Privately, I own a classic Porsche – a 1980 Porsche 924 in Petrol Blue Metallic. When you come across a winding stretch of road, they deliver an immense amount of joy, whether it’s a 44-year-old 924 or the latest 911!” Driving into summer • by Tim Lee Video courtesy of @hsinexoticcars “I’m from Taipei, Taiwan, and I've been a freelance photographer for seven years,” says Tim Lee. “At first, I didn’t make videos of the cars I photographed. However, after Instagram introduced Reels, I started capturing cars in a more dynamic form. “At that time, the Porsche 992 GT3 RS had just arrived in Taiwan, and while I was on the mountain watching the first sunrise of 2024, I saw the car coming around a curve and quickly grabbed my phone to capture this beautiful moment.” Switching out the broomstick • by Patrick Draper “This particular shoot wasn’t planned,” explains Patrick Draper, a car photographer from Québec, Canada. “I was working with a client on a regular shoot and with Halloween coming up, I decided to do a thematic edit. I used my Canon R5 to take the photos and used Photoshop to add the birds to the scene. Megan Paterson, the car’s owner, shares Patrick’s enthusiasm. “Every year I hire photographers to take pictures of my car,” says Megan. “Patrick wanted to do something special for Halloween, so he held back a few shots until 31 October. This is actually a photo of my first 911 – a 992 Carrera 4S in Chalk to which I fitted an Aerokit. I can honestly say I’ve made this car mine without going too crazy with the mods. “In total I own three Porsche cars – a Cayenne S Coupé, and a 2024 and 2021 911 Carrera 4S. What I love most about Porsche is the quality – especially its engineering. It’s incredible to have a reliable car that’s also fast and sexy. I can’t think of another brand that gives you all that in a sports car. When people ask me what’s next in the stable, I know it’s going to be another 911.” Car-nival ride • by Chaz Warren “I shoot all my photos on film – both 35mm and medium format. For this particular shoot I used my favourite camera, the Pentax 6x7, and Kodak Portra 800 film. I love the feeling of nostalgia and the power of vivid colours. That’s what inspires my art and immerses me in the scenes I’m trying to create. “I was hired to take creative photographs of a client’s collection of cars in Nashville, Tennessee. I try to place the cars in environments that relate to their nature. The Porsche GT3 RS is such a fun car to drive, like winning a prize at a carnival. We were able to talk to the owner of the carnival and he let us bring the car in before they closed for the night. “I feel that every time I’ve taken a picture of a Porsche car, the connection between me and the car has grown stronger. The cars do what they are supposed to do: make me smile. The curves of the 911 and the distinctive rear wing on the 992 GT3 RS are such a pleasure to look at.” The apple of our eyes • by Arvin Finger “I like to tell stories through my photography and Porsche is the perfect inspiration. The way the cars look, move and feel makes it easy to bring my vision to life. I shot this Porsche Taycan Turbo in Carmine Red in a quiet forest in the autumn. The moody setting, with mist and fallen leaves, felt perfect to showcase the car as a powerful and wild ‘beast in the woods’. “I love how Porsche has stayed true to its style over the years, while always innovating. My dream Porsche has always been a 911 Turbo S in GT Silver Metallic. I’m always excited to see or drive one, saying to myself, ‘This will be mine one day’. Recently I was given a limited edition miniature model of the exact same car in the same colour. It made me so happy because it felt like a sign that I’m getting closer to my dream.” Ripe for a road trip • by Niklas Koppitsch “I was on a 500km cycling road trip from Flensburg to Münster in Germany,” says photographer Niklas Koppitsch. “Halfway through I stopped to visit a good friend, who owns the 1977 911 S in this photo. We hopped in it and went for a drive along country roads. I captured this photo with my small camera during the ride. It was the perfect moment – the sun was low, and it was a truly beautiful summer evening. “My connection to Porsche has been deeply rooted in me since I was four years old when my father bought his first 911. From that moment, the Porsche brand has been a constant part of my life, and it has accompanied me all the way. Today, I drive a 911 myself.” Game. Set. Colour match • by Mateusz Król Video courtesy of @krol.jpg“I used Cinema 4D and Octane Render software to bring my idea to life,” says Polish creative, Mateusz Król. This video was actually a collaboration with Porsche and is a continuation of my Sports Cars series. The idea came to me while watching a tennis match. It inspired me to imagine cars brought to life in a unique way, engaging in various sports disciplines. I always strive to create something fresh and eye-catching, something that hasn’t been seen before – and this concept fits that vision perfectly. “The year 2023 was not kind to me – I felt torn and unsure of the direction I wanted to take with my creative work. In December 2023, I published an animation called Porsche Generation, showcasing all generations of the 911 driving down a road. It was my final artwork before taking a New Year’s break and heading on vacation, where I planned to map out my goals for 2024. “Then, a few days before returning, I received a message from Porsche asking for permission to publish my animation on their official social media profiles. For me, it felt like a sign. From that moment, I decided to dedicate entirely to creating car-related content. This message and this decision changed everything and 2024 turned out to be my best, most transformative year, filled with collaborations I had only ever dreamed of before.” Porschecraft • by Aladdin Kanngo Video courtesy of @pxlprsche @ryanfriedmanmotorcars“My process begins with selecting high-quality source footage from talented creators who capture Porsche cars in stunning ways,” says Aladdin Kanngo, a digital artist. “I’m incredibly grateful to all those who allow me to transform their original works – their exceptional cinematography provides the foundation for my artistic interpretation. “Once I have the perfect source material, I use specialised pixel art software combined with custom AI tools I’ve developed to transform the footage. Each artwork requires meticulous fine-tuning to ensure that those distinctive Porsche features – the flowing lines, the iconic silhouette – are preserved in pixel form. “One of my most memorable moments was when I first shared my Porsche pixel art online. I was surprised by how warmly the Porsche community embraced my interpretation of the cars. What started as a personal project has grown into something much more meaningful.” Team • by Liam Stringer “My connection with Porsche goes back to the 1970s when my grandfather bought a 1960s Porsche 912,” says photographer Liam Stringer. “Since then, Porsche has always been a part of my family. In 2000, my dad bought a 911 Cabriolet (type 996.1) and it’s still with us today – with 130,000 miles on it! To keep this legacy going, I got my own 2015 Cayenne S last year and I’ve fallen in love with it. For me, cars are an expression of craftsmanship, passion and individuality. That’s what I try to capture in my photography. “The story behind this photo is that my friend Allen received a call from Porsche Dallas letting him know that his 992 GT3 RS was finally ready to be picked up. We went for a drive around the Dallas Metroplex. There was a sense of freedom and defiance, as if we were testing the limits of what’s possible in a road-legal car. After the drive, we spontaneously decided to stage a photo shoot in his driveway.” The car’s owner, William Allen Humphris, an entrepreneur and angel investor, remembers the day well. “I’m well known in the exotic car world, so I’m always happy to host private automotive gatherings. The night this photo was taken, I opened my doors to a small gathering of car enthusiasts to celebrate my newly acquired Porsche 992 GT3 RS. I also took the opportunity to introduce my guests to my Porsche Taycan Turbo S too, which I believe is a perfect blend of performance and the innovative potential of electric vehicles.”
