Dua worked with French director Clemént Durou, known for high-profile projects like the music video for Pharrell Williams’ Happy, to craft a unique and exciting concept that authentically represents both her and Porsche. Behind the scenes of the all-electric Macan film written and co-directed by and starring Dua LipaThe studio where the film for the all-electric Macan is being made is fizzing with energy as make-up artists, production crew and set assistants bustle to and fro. A hush falls over the set as all eyes turn to the pop star. She’s leaning casually against the Macan parked in front of a backdrop painted in Provence, the chosen launch colour of the new all-electric Porsche.“Okay, so what you’re asking me is how I would direct a Porsche ad?” Dua asks, looking into the camera with a twinkle in her eye. The anticipation is palpable. What does the pop star have in mind? What follows is a kaleidoscope of wild driving scenes. Dua takes us from misty city streets to the surface of the moon, then back down to Earth where she straps on a helmet and takes a Porsche for a hot lap around a racetrack… in Sport mode, of course. Each moment of the Macan film is as unpredictable as the last. But that’s the magic of working with Dua and her boundless creativity.

“Working on the electric Macan film was so much fun,” Dua reveals. “Nothing was too far fetched or off the table, so they really let me run wild with it. From dreaming up these concepts that were quite literally out of this world, to seeing them evolve and be brought to life was such a thrill.”Change. Re-interpretation. Reinvention.
