Tap in your start and end destinations into the ViaMichelin app and it’ll give you a choice of three options – a quick route, the shortest and most economical
Use the ViaMichelin app to plan your last-minute road tripHelping add some much-needed structure to your last-minute road trip planning is the ViaMichelin App. As well as suggesting diverse, adaptable routes, it easily connects you with countless tourist sites and award-winning restaurants, and takes into account what type of car you have too – so you can see all the EV charging stations available to you along your route. How the ViaMichelin app worksIt’s simple to plot your road trip with the ViaMichelin app. You just enter your start point and end point – and you can also tap in a ‘step’ between the two destinations if you fancy a detour en route. You even have the ability to choose the make and model of the car you are driving too.Let’s say you’re a history buff and your travelling companion is a foodie on a road trip from Paris to Nice. You’d love to see something historical along the way, but don’t have a strong opinion about exactly what. Your road trip partner meanwhile wants to enjoy the finest French cuisine, so you also need to find the best restaurant on the route. However, you’re only willing to drive up to 15km out of your way for either of these things. Oh, and you also have a cousin in Bourges who you’d like to stop and visit on your journey to the south of France.

The ViaMichelin app also makes it easy to make a quick detour en route on your road trip by serving up suggestions, such as museums, galleries and historic towns
The ViaMichelin App can then suggest routes that are either the quickest, the shortest (most ecological) or most economical. Once you choose a route just check Instructions and it will alert you about what to do if you will be driving through a low-emission zone with your car or about toll roads on the journey. It helps remove the added stress of discovering a hidden surprise later on.Finding an EV charger en routeFor a quick overview of the charging stations en route for your Porsche Macan Electric, for example, click the On the way tab, select the EV icon, adjust the filters, and choose your charger type. For the Macan Electric, it’s a Type 2 charger.Alongside the ViaMichelin app, there’s also an additional exclusive network of charging locations available with Porsche Destination Charging. Here, destination guests who are drivers of Porsche electric or plug-in hybrid cars can charge for free, giving you the change to relax while you do so. Destination partners include top hotels, restaurants, golf courses, race circuits, marinas and more.Sightseeing with the ViaMichelin appThe ViaMichelin app also helps take a lot of the hard work out of researching sightseeing destinations. There’s no need to map these out yourself – just click the Tourism icon and choose the level of MICHELIN distinction you’re looking for. There’s a wide range of options, like national parks, historic villages, Roman ruins and more. The Guide provides ratings and summaries, and you can easily add any stop to your itinerary, which then automatically updates your road trip for you
