Securing it with anti-theft locks ensures that your adventure stays worry-free. To unfold the tent you unlock the roof tent canopy locks, open the two safety straps and gently lift the roof tent which will unfold itself via its two gas dampers, which help make unfolding the roof tent a simple process. You then swing out the back end of the underfloor before securing it with the help of the integrated ladder which needs to be firmly locked into place.The final step in the unfolding process requires you to shape the roof tent with its four spring rods – there are two shorter ones for the entrance of the tent and two larger ones for the windows on both sides. These rods are conveniently stored inside the tent in a pouch at the entrance. And that’s it – the roof of your car has been turned into a cozy on-the-go retreat in just minutes.Inside, you’ll find an exclusive interior featuring a mountain silhouette lining and a sky view window which is perfect for stargazing on clear nights. Cleaning the Porsche roof tent is simple with removable, washable mattress covers and wipeable surfaces. Optional extras like an inner tent, thermal blankets and organisers add further comfort and practicality. How to demount the Porsche roof tentWhen it’s time to pack up, the roof tent folds back just as easily. Ensure it’s dry before closing, then unmount the elastic bands of the rain covers, unhook it from the spring rods and unhook the spring rods for the windows and the front entrance of the tent. Remember to store the spring rods in their respective pouches again.Next, you retract the ladder before securing it with the safety straps, folding it back into the tent basin and then pulling the straps to close the tent’s lid. Mind your fingers when closing the lid of the tent and make sure the material of the tent is properly tucked away on all sides of the shell. You will then need to hook in the security straps and lock your roof tent. The final step of the demounting process is to remove the anti-theft locks, loosen the mounting screws with a specialised tool and remove the closed roof tent with the help of a few friends.
