Passion has no offseason, and neither does Porsche. So when it was time for the Big Game, we knew we had to do something impressive. Enter the custom-made Porsche football.
Handcrafted by Leather Head Sports, this football started as a whole cut of Truffle Brown leather. The same leather available in our sports cars, it’s beautiful, consistent, and—important for a football—durable. From there, Leather Head laid it out on a hydraulic press, die-cutting it into four identical panels. Attention to detail has always been part of the Porsche process, and ultimately it was how the Porsche football came to be. Leather Head’s artisans hand-stitched all four panels into one, then finished the ball with its iconic laces. The end result: a football crafted not just of Porsche leather, but crafted to a Porsche standard.Only a limited number of these footballs were made, and most of them went to followers of our Instagram handle, @PorscheUSA. So while the Porsche football may be a rare sight, every one of them is in the hands of an enthusiast—just like a Porsche should be.
