A designer’s electric take on an electric car

Kate Weinberg lets her imagination run as wild as the all-electric Macan

Kate Weinberg (@kweinbydesign) has taken the graphic design world by storm with her unique reinterpretations of brands that comment on her Instagram videos.

Just recently, her sports merch designs had athletes all over the world buzzing about them.

Despite all that notoriety, Kate was nevertheless surprised when we commented on one of her videos. And that kickstarted a process that resulted in some truly electrifying art.

First we invited Kate to the Porsche Experience Center Los Angeles. She immersed herself in the brand, its heritage, its mythology, its icons. She took a few hot laps around the track. Then, properly inspired, she got to work.

Kate started with mood boards drawing on signature Macan elements like its Provence paint color, high-tech features and sheer speed. From there, she crafted 12 different interpretations of the all-electric Macan’s shape and form. Interpretations that that are as shockingly beautiful as the original subject itself.

To be honest, we have a hard time picking our favorite design. See if you do too.
