Peter Tarka x No Small Dreams
Where vehicles go to vibe

One look at the work of Peter Tarka is all it takes to be transported, whisked away to a realm of heightened reality of pastel palaces and vibrant vistas. Porsche commissioned Peter for a series of new pieces which place the Taycan front and center of his otherworldly tableaus. Vivid, flamboyant and oddly uncanny, the pieces seem to set a scene of a moment not merely frozen in time, but existing beyond it entirely.
Take a look at Peter’s work below and learn more about the creative approach which helped guide him through its development.
I like to mix reality with surrealism and punchy colors, mixing architecture with illustration and abstract art. So when you look at my pieces it kinda looks real but at the same time, you get a feeling that they might be on another planet.
I immediately knew I wanted to create a triptych, featuring the same model of car but in different moods. The first one is the safe option: you like cool things but you don’t want to be too noisy about it.
The second one is inverse to the first one: you want to scream about your individuality, so this piece is a bit more punchy. The third piece is a mix of both worlds, using two cars that are floating in space together.
I like the new Taycan model as it keeps everything that I always loved in Porsche cars: the design. You can easily recognize the lines and the proportions are just stunning. The mix of heritage with advanced technology and the electric engine tick all the boxes for me.
